The Best of the Best 2003: Megayachts – Royal Denship

<< Back to Robb Report, Best of the Best

No matter how charming the guests aboard your yacht can be, occasions arise when you seek privacy in places other than your stateroom. Aboard Big Roi, the 207-foot Royal Denship expedition yacht, owner Roy Speer has an entire deck to himself.

The 3,000-square-foot owner’s deck of the blue-hulled behemoth is accessible by private elevator or interior stairway. It includes a full-beam master suite, a salon with a dining table, a library/office, his-and-her bathrooms, and several entertainment centers. If Speer wishes to socialize, the main deck includes a grand piano and a full bar.

With a range of 8,500 miles and twin 2,000-hp Caterpillar diesels that produce a 16-mph cruising speed, the yacht is capable of visiting regions remote enough to provide complete solitude.
