The first boat to launch in the Arcadia Yachts 115 series (a Robb Report Best of the Best honoree in 2012), the semicustom yacht M Ocean is available for charter this year. Designed with sustainability in mind, the yacht’s deckhouse is topped with solar-paneled panes of glass that are able to generate enough energy to power all of the ship’s onboard functions. This eco-consciousness also extends to the yacht’s hybrid propulsion system, which uses twin 1,225 hp diesel engines as well as electric motors. When underway using only the electric motors, the boat is able to travel at up to 8 knots completely silently.
The yacht’s spacious, open-layout main saloon is outfitted with decor from Poltrona Frau. The dining area, which is separated from the saloon by a pair of floor-to-ceiling display cabinets, is flanked by two fold-down terraces that can serve as intimate spots for alfresco dining. The extravagant main-deck owner’s suite contains an office, a massage area that also houses an exercise bike, and en suite bathroom with a hot tub. One deck up are a cinema room equipped with a Kaleidescape media server and Apple TV and the captain’s cabin, which can be used by guests when needed. Four more cabins are found on the lower deck, bringing the total number of guests that can be accommodated to 12. When not enjoying the yacht’s lavish interiors, guests will have access to multiple sun-drenched outdoor seating areas as well as a whirlpool tub located at the bow.
