Twin cabins are ideal for single adult friends or, even better, families with kids. Cranchi takes the latter into consideration with the unusual setup aboard the new M40 ST. This express-style yacht has a third cabin with three single berths, rather than just twins. Typically, a stateroom for this many people would be seen aboard larger yachts. It would also be designed with a pullman above one of the twins. Even by selecting three standard berths, Cranchi keeps the room from feeling cramped. Further worthy of note, for both grown-up guests and children staying in here: private access to the day head.
The master stateroom, meanwhile, has a fully private head. It also benefits from a skylight directly over the bed, making for an extra-bright room. Want a little shade for an afternoon nap? No problem: a shade deploys across the glass.
But if it’s sun you’re seeking, the Cranchi M40 ST does not disappoint. Slide open her roof (the “ST” in her model name stands for Soft Top) to bring the outdoors inside. Or, stretch out on either of the two sunpads, one aft and one forward. They’ll be even more enjoyable when the M40 ST is zooming along at mid-30-knot speeds. (www.cranchi.it)
