With the recent launch of the first Benetti Vivace 125 (www.benettiyachts.it), the Italian boatbuilder has gone from fast to lively. The Vivace 125 is the second model in the company’s semicustom Fast Displacement series; the first was the 15-foot-larger Veloce 140, which was introduced last year. Rolls-Royce designed the new yacht’s propulsion system exclusively for Benetti. In combination with a hybrid hull that enables travel in planing or displacement mode, the system pushes the Vivace 125 to a top speed of 22 knots. Its range is 1,250 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots. The interior contains four guest suites and an owner’s apartment, which is located on the main deck and stretches across the 27-foot beam. The yacht has three primary decks and a sundeck, and also accommodates a captain and seven crew members. The starting price of the Vivace 125, which made its debut in September at the Cannes Yachting Festival, is available upon request.
