The new Hatteras 70 Motor Yacht from North Carolina–based boatbuilder Hatteras Yachts has the same enticing combination of alluring beauty and sophisticated hospitality as any Southern belle. The 70-foot pleasure craft is crowned with a Mediterranean-style flybridge containing a navigation station, large lounge space, a bar, and aft lounge chairs. The main deck invites entertaining with a generous saloon and dining area surrounded by tinted glass and backed by a galley that Katie Button (executive chef of North Carolina’s own Cúrate restaurant) would envy. Bookending the lavish interior, both the bow and stern have ample cushioned seating and room for social butterflies to roam. Belowdecks, an en suite master cabin and three guest cabins, with two additional bathrooms, accommodate up to eight comfortably.
Grace in motion, the Hatteras 70 Motor Yacht features two 1,600 hp CAT C32A diesel engines and a modified, resin-infused, V-shaped hull to give it glide. More convex than most counterparts, the hull bolsters hydrodynamic efficiency and stability—an innovative design element one would expect from the first production yacht builder to construct a fiberglass boat greater than 40 feet in length. Hatteras Yacht’s nautical debutante will make its first appearance at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, November 5 through 9. Pricing for the yacht starts at $4,986,000.
