Leonardo 100

Azimut's Leonardo 100, launched in September 2009, lives up to its namesake by being talented in multiple areas. Its flybridge is well divided between the forward helm (for the captain) and aft sun pads (owner and guests) but also has a stylish high-tech hardtop (made of fiberglass and crystal) that is in keeping with the lines of the exterior. Stefano Righini did a fine job putting together a look that could have failed with one wrong line. The interior salon is strictly modern Italian but with an openness that one rarely finds on a yacht. Azimut used the contrasts between the mahogany-tinted zebrano wood furniture and teak flooring to good effect. Cream, ivory, and yellow surfaces also work well. Belowdecks, Azimut designed the master suite in the center of the yacht for maximum space. Its outer windows provide a true window to the sea. The overall effect is that of a yacht that will serve a couple or small family, or be the focal point for a gathering of friends.
