Crystal Couture

John Lyon

Inspired by the sartorial stars of London’s Savile Row, Absolut released its classic vodka in a brand-new suit. The Absolut Crystal Pinstripe bottle is hand-blown by fellow Swedish company Reijmyre, which, at just over 200 years old, is the oldest currently operating glassworks in Sweden. Priced at $1,500 and limited to just 800 examples, the stylish crystal vessel is hand-carved to mimic the appearance of a bespoke Savile Row pin-striped suit. Those looking for an even more exclusive experience will be drawn to the black crystal version of the bottle, which is limited to a mere 10 examples and priced at $10,000. Both versions are numbered, signed by the master craftsman, and presented in a pin-striped, cloth-clad box with two matching crystal tumblers. The new bottles make their U.S. debut this month at select duty-free stores around the country. (www.absolut.com)
