Netjets certainly likes the Bombardier Challenger 300 (514.861.9481, www.businessaircraft.bombardier.com), an aircraft with coast-to-coast range (3,500 miles) and a price of $24.3 million. Last summer the fractional-industry leader ordered 75 of the jets, and it has options for 125 more. This is one of the largest orders ever for Bombardier. The Challenger 300, which went into service at the end of 2003, cruises at 541 mph and can operate from airports with runways as short as 5,000 feet. The cabin has a flat floor and is just over 6 feet tall and 7 feet wide. It is spacious enough for 10 passengers but is usually configured for eight. The aircraft’s 106 cubic feet of baggage space is accessible from the cabin.
