Best of the Best 2013: Jewelry: Collection: Chanel 1932

<< Back to Robb Report, 25th Annual Best of the Best

In 1932, Coco Chanel created her first and only diamond-jewelry collection, which was inspired by the Parisian night sky. Last year, for the 80th anniversary of that debut, the French fashion house reimagined the celestial theme of the original designs in a series of elaborate, fanciful diamond pieces. The new collection includes these four lighthearted rings. Clockwise from top: a rock-crystal lion (Coco Chanel’s zodiac sign); a stylized sun set with a 2.2-carat yellow diamond and 387 white diamonds; a constellation of diamond-encrusted stars; and, in homage to Chanel’s classic motif, a geometric camellia set with a 2.4-carat diamond and 238 smaller diamonds.
