Best of the Best 2013: Men’s Fashion: Footwear: Santoni

<< Back to Robb Report, 25th Annual Best of the Best

This season, Giuseppe Santoni stepped into a leadership role in the footwear company his father established in Corridonia, Italy, in 1975. The son has brought a new energy to the collection, giving classic styles a dynamic twist, such as the dyed-crocodile ombré on this pair of double monk straps ($4,466) and the super-chunky rubber soles on a pair of sleek boots. However, the consistency of the line remains in the hands of the 400 Italian craftspeople using Santoni’s original techniques to hand-dye and polish each shoe in its workshops.
