Best of the Best 2013: Semicustom Yachts: Benetti Classic Supreme 132

  • Danielle Cutler

In February, Benetti delivered the first example of its semicustom Benetti Classic Supreme 132 (+39.0584.3821, www.benettiyachts.it), which the yacht’s owner christened Petrus II. The boat’s architecture, from the longtime Benetti contributing designer Stefano Righini, features expansive windows throughout and a large sundeck with a Jacuzzi, a barbecue, a bar, ample sunning spots, and a shaded 12-person dining table. Like the other models in the Classic line, the Supreme 132 is available in various layouts with highly customizable interiors and amenities. In the case of Petrus II, the owners chose an uncluttered decor that contrasts light and dark colors: oak wall panels and dark wenge flooring paired with cream-colored upholstery and tables. Petrus II sleeps 10 guests in five staterooms; a fitness center and an additional hot tub on the foredeck take the place of a potential sixth stateroom on the yacht. Petrus II’s garage houses a tender and a Jet Ski, and a 37-foot Midnight Express tender tows behind the boat. The Supreme 132 reaches a 14.5-knot cruise speed and boasts a range of 3,500 nautical miles while traveling at 12 knots.
