Tom Ford lends the same impeccable attention to detail to his stylish knitwear as he does to his distinctive tailored clothing. This focus is evident in the shawl-collar merino cardigan ($1,990), handmade in Italy, that was modeled after a piece worn in an iconic image of the actor Steve McQueen. Ford employed a special weaving process to produce slubbed wool for a vintage effect. Taking into consideration fit and comfort, Ford creates flattering knitwear shapes with slim armholes and narrow shoulders to complement a man’s build.
