Priced some $60,000 less than the Quattroporte GTS, the Maserati Ghibli S Q4 (www.maserati.com), the $77,000 all-wheel-drive variant of the Ghibli, is more accessible than the company’s flagship sedan, and it is smaller. But with a 404 hp twin-turbocharged V-6, it may be more fun to drive. The engine enables a zero-to-60-mph time of 4.7 seconds. The Ghibli is distinguished from other sporty midsize sedans by a singular style. The dashboard’s oval analog timepiece and the leather-covered interior contribute to a flair that sets the car apart from its Ger­man competitors.
