BEST of the BEST 2014 | Wings & Water | Semicustom Yachts: Rossinavi Prince Shark 49

  • Bailey S. Barnard

The 161-foot Rossinavi Prince Shark 49 (+39.0584.384227, www.rossinavi.it) is versatile in terms of its performance and its amenities. The all-aluminum yacht’s semi-planing hull gives it the agility of a much smaller vessel and a sporty top speed of 23 knots. The line’s debut launch, Param Jamuna IV, features dual master cabins on the main deck, while the second example, Polaris, has a single full-beam suite. Both layouts include accommodations for 12 passengers and 11 crew. The price of the Prince Shark 49 is available upon request.

Windows run the lengths of the main and upper decks, distinguishing the Prince Shark 49’s profile while allowing natural light to fill the interiors. On the roughly 970-square-foot sundeck, Param Jamuna IV has a dining table, a sitting area, and chaise longues; Polaris is outfitted instead with a swimming pool and a waterfall. Highlights common to both examples of the Prince Shark 49 include an awning with folding panels that covers a portion of the sundeck, and a swim platform at the stern that lowers into the water. Rossinavi is working on a full-displacement version of the yacht, which is scheduled to launch in 2016.
