FrontRunners: Founder’s Art

Robert Ross

At home on the track or on display in a modern-art gallery, the Ecosse Moto Works Founder’s Edition Race (www.ecossemoto.com) marks the end of the production run for the Heretic, the Denver company’s flagship model. In 2004, Ecosse founder Donald Atchison created two versions of the Heretic, a street model for the public and a race model for himself. This 190 mph bike is essentially that race version, though it includes a (barely) muffled exhaust and can be fitted with other street essentials such as turn signals and mirrors. The Founder’s Edition Race has a starting price of $107,000.
