FrontRunners: Racing Strip

Larry Bean

To the list of reasons for frequenting Las Vegas—gaming, fine dining, golf—members of Dream Racing’s Ferrari club (www.dreamracing.com) can add track time in an F430 GT racecar at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. And while most things are supposed to stay in Vegas, the Ferrari does not have to: At the conclusion of the $400,000 (starting price) membership’s two-year term, club members take ownership of the car, a highly modified version of the F430 sports car that is not street legal. Membership, which is limited to 10 people, provides 15 track days during each of the two years. Each day includes personal driving instruction and the services of a pit crew. The Ferrari club is a new program for Dream Racing. The company primarily offers track time on a per-lap basis in its fleet of F430 GTs and stable of street-legal sports cars. Forty laps in an F430 GT (approximately 3.5 hours of driving), for example, costs about $4,000.
