This $30 Million Bespoke Penthouse in Downtown Austin Is a Hipster Fantasy Home
Conceptualized by Austin designer Ryan Street, the glass-encased Austonian penthouse encompasses the top two residential floors of the Austonian, a residential skyscraper in Austin, Texas. Because the penthouse has yet to be built out, the future buyer will have the opportunity to work alongside Street to customize the over 16,000-square-foot residence to meet personal needs and preferences. For example, the current design has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms, but the layout and blueprints can be altered. Similarly, although Street’s proposed design suggests walnut and veined marble to complement the glass-and-steel vibe, buyers can choose different materials.
In Street’s initial design, the lower floor serves as the primary residence space, while the upper floor houses additional guest suites and doubles as an entertainment station. A gourmet kitchen graces the main floor, and a catering kitchen features prominently in the second-story layout. Proposed amenities include a game room, butler’s pantry, cinema, study, and guest lounge. Floor-to-ceiling windows and six private terraces offer beautiful views of the city skyline and surrounding hill country.
Residents will have direct access to the Austonian’s on-site amenities that include a heated saltwater pool; a spa; outdoor kitchens; a dog park; a 12-person movie theater; a library and conference room; and a 5,500-square-foot workout facility with cardio, Pilates, and strength-training equipment. The penthouse offers the rare chance to create a truly bespoke dwelling and is on the market for $30 million. (Inquiries: Eric Moreland, 512.623.3633, firstname.lastname@example.org; theaustonian.com)
