Auberge Raises the Bar for Luxury Living in Fort Lauderdale
Construction begins this month on a pair of striking towers along the Fort Lauderdale waterfront. The first all-residential project by the lauded hospitality brand Auberge Resorts Collection, the new Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale comprises 171 condos priced from $1.5 million. In a lobby connecting both towers, Fernando Botero’s bronze La Maternidad sits before soaring windows with her back to the turquoise ocean views beyond.
The towers are shaped to maximize the residences’ views of the Atlantic Ocean (the stepped north tower curls around in a semicircle). Smaller two-bedroom units starting at 1,500 square feet boast open layouts centered around a high-end kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and integrated espresso and cappuccino systems. Floor-to-ceiling windows slide open to large terraces, enclosed in glass for unobstructed views of the Atlantic, Intracoastal Waterway, or the city beyond.
Elevators to many of the larger units, some with up to five bedrooms and 5,000 square feet (for $10 million), open to private foyers. And select residences offer both a separate entrance for staff and a terrace swimming pool. Like guests at an Auberge resort, residents can order meals and drinks at the lounges that surround two large community swimming pools, or relax in private cabanas at Spa by Auberge before and after treatments. Residents also share a gym, a wine cellar stocked with Auberge’s Napa Valley selections, a cigar lounge, and access to priority reservations at a yet-to-be-named signature Auberge American bistro.
