A Modern Real Estate Masterpiece Takes Shape in the Hamptons
A wooden platform stands two stories high on a 2.8-acre lot in Southampton. Owner Jay Bialsky, Hamptons-based developer of high-end homes, brings prospective buyers up the staircase to glimpse a major selling point of the $33 million project taking shape at 190 Fowler Street: ocean views. From the eventual 11,000-square-foot home’s upper level, owners will glimpse sunrises over the Atlantic.
Bialsky builds more than two homes each year and six of his recent sales have topped $20 million. This Fowler Street address sits just west of the neighborhood’s row of beachfront estates with immediate waterfront views across Sayres Pond. Floor-to-ceiling windows on the first floor of the modern cantilevered design make the second story appear to be floating. The spec home, to be completed in 2017, features seven bedrooms, a living room with double-height ceilings and windows, a gym, and a home theater. Bialsky is betting on buyers looking for a non-traditional home within an area known for its pedigree.
Bespoke Real Estate, the two-year-old firm selling the home, specializes in Hamptons homes priced above $10 million. For the Fowler Street project, Bialsky has hired Blaze Makoid Architecture and LaGuardia Design for landscaping.
