An Out-of-This-World Arthur Elrod–Designed Home Goes up for Sale

A spaceship-like estate (90 feet in diameter), nestled against the Santa Rosa Mountains in Rancho Mirage, Calif., has hit the market for $4.5 million. Located in the Coachella Valley’s prestigious Thunderbird Heights neighborhood (sometimes referred to as the “playground of the presidents” because Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, George W.
