There are no other shows in New York that concentrate on design enhanced by art. At The Salon Art + Design every decade from 1890 to the present day is represented.
55 Exhibitors, with 15 new galleries this year, present this material in an environment that’s enticing to collectors. Every table, chair, console, ceramic and piece of glass is seen in the context of a home. While the feeling of this year’s fair is edgier, less traditional than when it started five years ago, The Salon has always been about the way we live now.
“We’re about environments,” says Executive Director, Jill Bokor, “from the incredible architecture of the Park Avenue Armory itself to thinking about objects and images with which people live in 2016.”
The Salon Art & Design runs from November 10 -14 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. Influential artists and designers include: Zaha Hadid, David Hockney, The Campana Brothers, Formafantasma, Gio Ponti, to name a few. A must visit to see the finest diverse new material by galleries and designers not seen in New York before.
