Finding Center in the Desert

A new residence community has opened in Southern California’s secluded Anza-Borrego Desert, the largest unspoiled and permanently protected state park in the United States. The Borrego Ranch Residence Club at Montesoro, a fractional ownership community with wellness in mind, is part of the Borrego Ranch Resort and Spa, a 42-acre refuge focused on healthy living. The seven completed homes make up part of the 200 total private residences at the club, available in two-to four- bedroom models, each equipped with a private courtyard and gourmet kitchen. The resort’s cuisine, leisure activities, spa treatments, and open spaces are dedicated to the practice of balanced living. Residents can commune with nature in the sanctuary garden that serves as a home to butterflies and hummingbirds. When a bit more activity is warranted, there are the challenge courses, which feature a 30-foot climbing wall, labyrinth, ropes, and running trails, the $25 million Tom Fazio-designed signature golf course, or one of the resort’s five pools.
