DALLAS – Hudson Valley Lighting®, part of Littman Brands and premier U.S. manufacturer of classic and transitional lighting fixtures with roots in historic and decorative design, presents captivating new collections launched at the June 2015 International Lighting Market in Dallas. For the first time ever, Hudson Valley has incorporated crystal bead-work in creative applications unlike anything they have ever offered before, and they have introduced a new design aesthetic into their family of collections. Many of Hudson Valley’s new European-inspired designs evoke old Hollywood glamour, while other releases offer architectural designs in interesting shapes and mixed materials.
Spanning in style from traditional to modern to contemporary, these new families adhere to Hudson Valley Lighting’s impeccable craftsmanship using a combination of traditional and modern materials, including acrylic, crystal, blown glass, cast metalwork and glass mirrors. With more than 400 designs, the current selection of exquisite chandeliers and exceptional pendants, sconces and flush mounts are the perfect choice for residential, retail, office and hospitality specifications.
With delicate, curved arms and unique blown glass shades evoking wine vessels, Longmont is a design that epitomizes balance and poise. Using an Italian technique not known by many, artisans inlay thin strands of brass in molten glass while blowing it into shape. Embedded within, the nearly dissolved brass strands create bubbles that glow with secret warmth once illuminated. Adding to this organic feel is a cone motif reflected in three areas: the top of the inner stem, under each glass shade and as a finial, lending the piece a subtle symmetry. Offered in aged brass and polished nickel finishes, Longmont is available in two chandelier sizes, a one-light sconce, and three- or five-light bath and vanity uplights.
