Robert A.M. Stern’s Sensibility Now in Furniture

High-profile architect Robert A.M. Stern has unveiled a collection of minimalist furniture pieces that exude the same spirit as his classic, elegant, and streamlined buildings. Called New York Home, pieces include an armoire ($24,500) that is beautifully crafted of stained mahogany with fruitwood inlay. A round occasional table ($13,000) is made of parchment, lacquered oak, and bronze. And a double-tiered tripod table ($14,500), available in lacquered oak or bronze, has a trimmed down traditional shape and a top surface made of luminous mica. There are other pieces too, such as a tête-à-tête that consists of a chair, an ottoman, and a corner piece. There is no stock; each is made to order and can be customized with specific woods and finishes. (866.313.7999, www.ramscollection.com)
