Macklowe Gallery - Jewelry

The gallery’s president, Benjamin Macklowe, has recently lectured at the International Society of Appraisers and the Newark Museum of Art, and has become a thought leader in the fields of American design and Art Nouveau. Macklowe Gallery is also renowned for its collection of antique and estate jewelry.

Macklowe Gallery’s collection of antique and estate jewelry is famous worldwide. From our 18th-Century Georgian earrings to our Art Deco Cartier brooches, we take extraordinary care with every piece that we own. We are proud to offer jewelry from every Modern artistic movement, including Art Nouveau and Art Deco, as well as works by the pioneering French jewelry makers, Boivin, Belperron, and Sterlé. Whether Retro, Victorian, or nearly new, we feel that we have picked the very best of what jewelry and design history have to offer, and have curated a timeless collection.

Macklowe Gallery works very closely with museums and the great jewelry houses. We recently sold a Bulgari “Ancient Coin” necklace to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston that has helped to bridge the gap between their Ancient and Jewelry collections. We were also happy to be lenders to the landmark 2012 Van Cleef & Arpels exhibition at the Musée les Arts Décoratifs in Paris.  Further, we have collaborated with Tiffany & Co. for their private client events and David Webb for their recent publication, David Webb: the Quintessential American Jeweler. Pieces from our collection have been featured in Vogue, W Magazine, and Departures. Benjamin Macklowe has become a leader in the field of jewelry education, giving recent lectures that showcase crucial moments in jewelry history to audiences at Christie’s Auction House and the American Society of Jewelry Historians. Macklowe Gallery is also renowned for its collection of Tiffany lamps and Art Nouveau decorative arts.
