New Luxury Hotels in London

JULY 11, 2014

Since the dawn of the 20th century, London has been home to the world’s most luxurious hotels. The Savoy opened in 1889, and César Ritz’s namesake arrived on Piccadilly in 1906, ultimately earning the status as the meeting place of the era. Today, the old guard of London luxury hotels still thrives, and newcomers are challenged to offer something fresh within a landscape of such history and depth. Each of the four following properties goes out of its way to stand out from the crowd, whether that is with an exterior public art installation, a mid-city stand of oak trees, or sky-high views. Only history can tell us which of these hotels will pass the test of time.
