Best Things First: Golf Shop

<< Back to Robb Report, June 2004

PGA member Roger Maxwell’s standing as one of the most powerful and influential figures in golf has more to do with his business than his short game. Maxwell, the former golf director for Marriott hotels, owns In Celebration of Golf, a 15,000-square-foot emporium offering a wide selection of fine golfwear and equipment, as well as memorabilia, antiquities, and even golf-themed furniture.

More than a retailer, the Scottsdale, Ariz., flagship (the company operates five other shops, including one at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas) has a search service that will help you find virtually anything golf-related. And if you want to design your own golf course, In Celebration of Golf offers a consulting service that will assist you.
