A Chance to See How Some of the World’s Most Comfortable Jeans Are Made

In honor of its new handloomed jeans, the NYC denim atelier 3x1 gives customers a production demo…

From November 11 to 16 at its Mercer Street shop, New York denim brand 3×1—which derives its name from denim’s standard weaving construction, the 3×1 Right Hand Twill—will host a handloom imported from Italian textile company Berto that will be used to create its new super-soft jeans collection, 3×1 Le Mani. Customers will have the rare opportunity to witness the loom process and then purchase the jeans, though availability will be very limited.

For this demonstration, the company’s in-house artisans will carefully construct a maximum of three yards of denim with the loom each day in either a medium or a dark indigo shade. Custom ready-to-wear jeans start from $1,525, while bespoke jeans start from $2,200. (3×1.us)
