In September, Slowear (slowear.com) opened its first U.S. store (its 20th worldwide), on Prince Street in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, and men flocked to the location—presumably seeking pairs of its Incotex trousers, which have a reputation for being some of the most comfortable, best-fitting pants on the market. Once inside, the men may well have discovered that the Italian company’s three other brands—Zanone, Glanshirt, and Montedoro—also present timeless pieces of artisanship by small European workshops. Says company president Roberto Compagno, “We offer durable, lasting classic clothes that have an elegant yet informal style.”
