Prada’s Car Shoe Brand Switches Gears and Launches a Line of Rugged Hiking Shoes

Durable enough for outdoor adventures, the top-of-the-line boots are also great for city living…

Car Shoe, part of the Prada Group, is known above all for its driving shoe. For the approaching winter season, the brand presents a renewed line of footwear dedicated to the mountain, a continuation of the “Mountain Collection” project that was launched in 2013.

Italian craftsmanship, which distinguishes each and every Car Shoe, characterizes this robust and elaborate line, which features simple and modern silhouettes. The leather comes from the best tanneries in Europe and is sewn on technical soles in studded rubber with a Saint Moritz stamp.

From a calfskin work boot and a more classic version in pony hair to a suede lace-up and brushed paraboot, this contemporary collection is dedicated to the mountain, but at the same time, versatile and suitable for a winter in the city.

The collection will also be available on

About Car Shoe

Car Shoe was established in Italy in 1963 by the creative artisan Gianni Mostile. His passion for race-cars and hand-made shoes sparked the invention of a moccasin with a sole set on tiny rubber nubs, which earned him a patent from the Italian Ministry of Industry and Trade as well as a large group of sophisticated connoisseurs (Giovanni Agnelli, JFK, Roberto Rossellini, Ingrid Bergman among the others), both in Italy and abroad.

About Prada Group

Prada Group took over the stake of Car Shoe in 2001 and has, since then, aimed to develop the brand by focusing on its historic values of quality and innovation.
