Roja Dove Unveils His First Signature Scents

The perfumer Roja Dove, who spent more than 20 years working with Guerlain fragrances and on other fragrance projects, unveiled an exclusive collection of signature scents at Bergdorf Goodman this month. After collaborating on various fragrances for others—including the Victoria and Albert Museum’s commission for a scent inspired by its exhibit Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes—Dove decided to develop his own signature scents. It took years to develop his collection of 15 fragrances for women and men ($330 to $990), to which more will be added later this year. The women’s scent Danger has a sweet, warm aroma featuring notes of bergamot, jasmine, rose, peach, sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla, musk, and more, while the men’s scent Vetiver presents a warm, fresh, spicy fragrance centered around the sultry smokiness of vetiver and freshened by citrus and green notes. Each scent is bottled in a specially designed French flacon with pure gold detailing heat-imprinted on the glass and a cap set with 14 Swarovski crystals.
