Quoddy Introduces Customization Options for Its Signature Shoes

A made-to-order shoe service allows customers to personalize an array of sporty loafers…

Quoddy, which has a small but very devoted following, has been producing handmade loafers, moccasins, and boat shoes for 106 years in Perry, Maine. Now the company is offering its signature styles with a range of customizable options. Customers can choose from more than 20 different models and then pick from dozens of colors, leather types, soles, and linings. The handmade shoes ($275 to $450) are delivered in 6 to 8 weeks.

“I look for the best in every category of shoes for the store, and Quoddy is the best handmade casual shoe around,” says Steven Taffel, owner of Leffot, a specialty shoe store in New York that is offering Quoddy’s customized service. The shoes are also available on Quoddy’s website. (quoddy.com)
