Salvatore Ferragamo Unveils Stylish Sneakers

New footwear debuts alongside the brand’s new men’s web series

Best known for its classic Italian footwear, Salvatore Ferragamo has unveiled a sportier side with a collection of 15 men’s sneakers this winter. The sneaker lineup (priced from $594 to $3,740) is part of the brand’s effort to define the modern Ferragamo man, who has a tailored and sporty image. The sneakers debuted in tandem with “A Man’s Story,” an online series of videos, portraits, and interviews featuring seven influential tastemakers from around the globe—including the professional hockey player Henrik Lundqvist and the photographer Ryan McGinley—who represent the contemporary Ferragamo essence of style. It is also timed with the 100th anniversary of Salvatore Ferragamo’s arrival from his native Italy to the United States in 1914. The new styles, available in calfskin, crocodile, and ostrich, reflect Ferragamo’s edgier sensibility, which is also prevalent in the men’s spring clothing and accessories. (ferragamo.com)
