Color Diamonds on Exhibit in Boston

Dorfman Jewelers is presenting a collection of 15 rare color diamonds, including blue, pink, yellow, and green, at its store on Newbury Street in Boston on May 11 and 12. The event is designed to showcase some of the earth’s rarest treasures, and experts will be on hand to inform clients about the nuances of the color diamonds, and even help them create their own custom designs using a loose color diamond.

Among the exhibit’s natural treasures, which range from $100,000 to $5 million in value and from 1 to 30 carats in size, are a 4-carat pink, heart-shape diamond; a perfectly matched pair of vivid yellow, emerald-cut diamonds weighing over 12 carats combined; and a 20-carat intense yellow cushion-cut diamond that once belonged to the Russian court. Additionally, several color diamond rings will be available. Colored diamonds are among the rarest and most expensive stones available, and over the past few years they have sold at record-breaking prices at auctions internationally.
