For September 2015, Shaun Leane introduces the new collection Cherry Branch, drawing inspiration from the House’s iconic and signature Cherry Blossom collection. According to one of Japan’s oldest tales, the Cherry Blossom was believed to be a magical flower created by a goddess named Princess Konohana-Sakuya. Legend suggests the goddess would sprinkle seeds from Mount Fuji, which would enrich the flora below.
Shaun Leane has chosen to revisit the symbolic Cherry tree, which has now become a highly distinctive signature of the House. The blossom has been stripped back, with Leane focusing on the Cherry tree coming into bloom, where delicate vermeil and sterling silver branches are adorned with flourishing buds and intricate pave white diamonds.
Smaller in scale than Cherry Blossom, the romantic Cherry Branch pieces offer a refined and subtle addition to the wearer’s everyday jewelry collections. The elegant natural shapes retain Shaun Leane’s unique style complementing previous designs he has created, such as the House’s signature Tusk motif.
The Triple Band ring gracefully entwines the finger whjlst the Branch Earrings climb the ear resting as an understated ear cuff. Completed by the finely sculpted Branch Bracelet and Necklace, the Cherry Branch suite is an everyday embodiment of Shaun Leane.
The Cherry Branch collection will be available at Harrods, Selfridges and shaunleane.com. Prices start from £350
