On a recent trip to the Amazon rain forest, Brazilian jewelry designer Silvia Furmanovich encountered craftsmen using Brazilian woods for their marquetry, and it inspired this new artisanal collection of oversize wood bangles and earrings with striking marquetry patterns and sparkling gemstones. Brazilian woods used in the collection include red muirapiranga, yellow tatajuba, purple roxinho, and azul carvalho.
The cuffs and earrings shown here are set with 18-karat gold and gemstones.
