Aquatimer Chronograph “Cousteau Divers”

IWC Schaffhausen produced its first special watch for divers exactly 40 years ago. The Aquatimer Chronograph “Cousteau Divers,” named for diver and marine explorer Jacques Cousteau, is limited to 2,500 pieces and combines deep marine blue and rhodium-plated sub dials to create a vibrant combination of colors. The Aquatimer is equipped with a self-winding chronograph and, like all the watches in the Aquatimer family, with the unidirectional rotating inner bezel to measure the start time of the dive and to read off the diving time. It is water- resistant to 120 meters, and the back of the 44-mm stainless-steel case bears the engraving of a diver in the midst of a school of tropical fish.
