Graff Scales the Complicated Watchmaking Ladder

With each new watch seemingly more complicated than the last, the timepieces from premier diamond house Graff illustrate how nothing is impossible in Swiss watchmaking, provided you know the right people. GyroGraff, starting at $495,000, contains two heretofore exotic complicated features: a multi-axis tourbillion, and a three-dimensional moonphase indicator. Under the direction of longtime industry veteran Michel Pitteloud, Graff has been able to source a variety of complicated movement makers, in this case Geneva-based MHC, to execute the most complicated pieces in the Graff collection. Created in a limited series of 10 pieces, GyroGraff will remain as rare as it is advanced. (212.355.9292, www.graffdiamonds.com)
