Not everyone considers a restriction-laden ticket on a commercial airline a perk. The entrepreneurs behind the Stratus Rewards Visa (877.258.2360, www.stratusrewards.com), a new credit card concept, aim to profit from this perspective.
With an emphasis on private travel, the Stratus Rewards card earns its users points redeemable for everything from flight hours with Marquis Jet to a chinchilla scarf by Anne Dee Goldin. Membership benefits also include access to concierge services by Mint Lifestyle, monthly travel guides by Nota Bene, and enrollment in Abercrombie & Kent’s Marco Polo Club travel service. Annual dues are $1,500 ($500 for a secondary card), and Stratus intends to limit the program to 10,000 members.
