High Sierra Golf Experience Returns to Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe

Golfers enjoy two 18-hole rounds of golf at their choice of course, plus deluxe accommodations…

Summer is in full swing and Lake Tahoe has never looked more beautiful – stunning golf greens and lush forests for guests to indulge in while experiencing luxury mountainside resort accommodations. It is time to break out the golf clubs as The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe just announced the return of the popular High Sierra Golf Experience, which will satisfy every golf aficionado’s craving for a beautiful summer golfing trip. Available between now and September 30, 2016, this annual package combines exciting play with luxurious Lake Tahoe accommodations. Golfers enjoy two 18-hole rounds of golf at their choice of either Gray’s Crossing or Old Greenwood, as well as deluxe accommodations at the resort.

Both Gray’s Crossing and Old Greenwood are the region’s finest championship golf courses and are located within 15 minutes of the property, but offer distinctive experiences. Old Greenwood, a par-72 course designed by Jack Nicklaus, unfolds amid 600 acres of majestic pines. Gray’s Crossing, meanwhile, is certified as only the second Audubon International Gold Signature Sanctuary in all of California, meaning the splendor of the surrounding environment has been meticulously preserved for a game that is breathtaking in both score and scenery.

The potential for play, however, is just the beginning of what makes the High Sierra Golf Experience so compelling among golf packages in Lake Tahoe. This offer also capitalizes on the resort’s Mountain Concierge, which handles all the details of a seamless golf game, from golf-club storage, to booking tee times, to sharing valuable insights about the region’s various golfing opportunities.

While the package offers at least 36 reasons to stay on the course, the resort provides just as many reasons to return. As the only AAA Five Diamond award-winning hotel in Lake Tahoe, the property’s amenities are extraordinary. Guest rooms incorporate gas fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows in a nod to the spectacular setting. Five dining venues incorporate a breadth of gastronomic possibilities, ranging from elegant private dining options at Manzanita to “blues, brews and BBQ” at The Backyard Bar & BBQ. And the renowned spa serves as a destination unto itself, whether guests are looking to ease sore muscles after a day on the links, or wish to indulge in a full day of restoration.

Visitors this summer can also look forward to a full repertoire of outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, private guided hikes, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding creating a vacation that is as unforgettable as a day on the golf course. Additional highlights this summer include: Lawn Games, Happy Hour events, Mountainside Yoga, new Cabana packages, a Summer Winemaker Dinner Series, and more.

The High Sierra Golf Experience starts at $599 USD per night and is subject to availability. Accommodations available with this package include deluxe king, deluxe two queens, mountain view king, mountain view two queens guest rooms, and one-bedroom suites. Advance reservations are required to ensure preferences regarding courses and tee times. Advance deposit due 7-days prior to arrival and is non-refundable once charged
