Martha’s Vineyard Waves Farewell to 2014 With Food, Fireworks and Fun at Harbor View Hotel

EDGARTOWN, Mass. –  On Wednesday, Dec. 31, the iconic Harbor View Hotel will welcome the New Year with an evening packed with food, music and fireworks and a special overnight package will top off the fun. Beginning at 9 p.m., guests can enjoy live music by the Sultans of Swing in the hotel’s Water Street restaurant, or dance to the tunes of The Mike Benjamin Band in the Grand Ballroom. A selection of gourmet hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening, and party goers can choose to purchase from an extensive list of beer, wine and seasonal cocktails. At midnight, all guests are welcome to kick-off 2015 with a celebratory Champagne toast on Harbor View’s wraparound porch while overlooking the spectacular fireworks display on Edgartown Harbor.

For those who wish to extend the celebration, an overnight package is available starting at $349, including cozy accommodations for two, a pair of tickets to the party, a late checkout of 2 p.m. on Jan. 1, and all taxes and gratuities. Guests who are interested in only attending the party can purchase tickets online for $95. Party guests must be 21 years of age or older with ID and semi-formal attire is required.

On New Year’s Day, guests can enjoy a savory “Bloody Mary” breakfast buffet from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in Water Street, where a variety of hot and cold dishes including made-to-order omelets and waffles, Maple-Smoked Atlantic Salmon, Crispy Apple-Smoked Bacon and an assortment of fresh fruit, pastries and cereals. Breakfast is $25 per person and includes a complimentary Bloody Mary.
