Long a Robb Report favorite, Meadowood Napa Valley raised the bar for boutique hotels last November when it debuted a new spa as part of a $60 million renovation. Like the wine-country resort at large, the Meadowood Spa exudes a rustic elegance, with its wood-plank floors, slate accents, Tibetan silk rugs, and large windows that look out to the surrounding forest. The harmony between inside and out is echoed by the spa’s natural cuisine and therapies, the latter of which unfold leisurely in eight suites equipped with steam showers and private lounges.
Meadowood is collaborating with the French vinotherapy brand Caudalie, the Swiss skin-care line Luzern Laboratories, and others to offer a curated collection of treatments and products.
Treatments range from 90 minutes to 5.5 hours and include such signature therapies as the Air We Breathe, a 3.5-hour revitalizing treatment featuring a mud wrap and hydrating massage.
The resort has upgraded its fitness offerings with new equipment and programs such as hiking, cycling, and yoga and Zumba classes.
Spa cuisine ranges from juices and wellness elixirs to slightly heartier fare that might include homegrown heirloom tomatoes with dandelion pesto, eggplant, and couscous.
