The Waldorf Astoria, Park City, is kicking off this year’s ski season with a bevy of winter-themed offerings—the highlight of which is the chance to hone your ice-skating skills with the U.S. Olympic speed skater Patrick Meek. Technically, the private session ($120 per person) is no longer available, but it can be arranged upon special request. The Patrick Meek session is part of a larger program called the Majordomo Package, which starts at $869 per night for accommodations in one of the resort’s 30 one-bedroom residences and grants guests access to VIP experiences.
New Majordomo offerings this year include the Wasatch Extreme: Life Elevated package ($9,500), a two-day adventure that includes a private, one-hour session with a stylist from Cole Sport active wear (the cost of the clothing purchased during the session is not included in the price of the package); dinner at the local High West craft whiskey distillery, with a private tour; a heli-ski tour with a high-elevation picnic; a sports massage; and round-trip transportation to and from the airport. Also new this year is the Hot Tub Après Ski package ($400), which involves a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and a selection of oysters, artisan meats and cheeses, steamed pork buns, and chocolate-covered strawberries for two guests to enjoy while soaking in one of the resort’s two outdoor hot tubs. Packages are also available outside of the Majordomo umbrella, such as the new Fresh Powder Sherpa ($884), which pairs two ski enthusiasts with a local mountain guide, and the No Ski For Me ($775), which plans two days of activities for the nonskier, including a gift card for shopping on Park City’s main street and evening yoga sessions. The majority of the packages are available January 3 through April 6. (parkcitywaldorfastoria.com)
