Best Of The Best 2006: In With A Bang

<< Back to Robb Report, June 2006

The Hublot Big Bang—the brand’s first major revision to its original flagship design in 20 years—commands attention in a manner befitting its name, with a high-contrast mixture of gold, ceramic, carbon fiber, and natural rubber. The watch’s complex case, with carbon-fiber inserts sandwiched by layers of gold, has been enlarged to almost 45 mm, though its burly proportions are harmonious. The Big Bang may be a high-decibel fanfare, but it has suprisingly sweet undertones.
