FrontRunners: Under Pressure

  • Richard Mille RM036 Tourbillon G-Sensor Limited Edition
<< Back to Robb Report, April 2013

Created by a watchmaker with a penchant for designing cases and movements after racecar components, the Richard Mille RM036 Tourbillon G-Sensor Limited Edition Jean Todt (www.richardmille.com) is equipped with a first-of-its-kind accelerometer. The device measures and displays g force, the sensation of weight that one feels, for instance, when accelerating, braking, or rounding a corner in a racecar. The watch, which is priced at $490,000 and has a limited production of only 15 examples, is named for the former CEO of Ferrari and current president of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile.
