We are in the midst of watchmaking’s blue period. Call it azure, navy, sapphire, or cerulean, the color has been an emerging watch fashion sensation for years. In March, at the Baselworld fair in Switzerland, the trend went mainstream as myriad brands—from sporty Tudor to prestigious Patek Philippe—debuted timepieces that featured blue dials paired with blue straps.
