Representing a new direction for the blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, the E.P. Carrillo Edición Limitada 2013 (www.epcarrillo.com, $300 per box) features a Mexican wrapper. Perez-Carrillo selected a San Andrés maduro and combined it with a double Nicaraguan and Brazilian binder and a Nicaraguan filler to produce a medium-full-bodied smoke with an enticingly long finish. The Edición Limitada 2013 is available in only one size, a 6¼ × 54 toro, and sold 20 to a box. E.P. Carrillo is offering only 1,500 boxes, each made partly from zebrawood.
