When the renowned sommelier Rajat Parr and winemaker Sashi Moorman joined forces with a former owner of Screaming Eagle, Charles Banks, something truly exceptional was born. Derived from one of the oldest and most significant vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills, Sandhi’s Chardonnay evokes a great Puligny--Montrachet and represents a shining light for what is possible in this inimitable pocket of California. This is not a wine for those who love buttery California Chardonnay.  

  • The Sanford & Benedict vineyard was planted in 1971 and proved that Burgundian varieties could thrive in this cool, maritime climate.
  • The wine is crafted with natural yeasts for fermentation and then aged on its fine lees with minimal influence of new oak.
  • Its aromas include yellow apple, white peach pit, preserved lemon, acacia flowers, crushed oyster shells, mint, and a kiss of oak spice.
