E.P. Carillo The Inch Series C-99

In the ongoing race to create the largest-ring cigar that can still be smoked enjoyably, this E.P. Carrillo (EPC) claims top honors. EPC was the first to debut a 6 × 64 1-inch-diameter smoke a few years ago, and last year it followed with a 7 × 70. Now, as part of the Inch series, the brand is producing the C-99, which is named for the Corojo 99 wrapper that surrounds the line’s Nicaraguan binder and Dominican filler. Four sizes are available, starting at 57/8 × 60, but the standout is a 7 × 70 behemoth that provides a manageable medium-full flavor in spite of its size. ($8.75–$12) epcarrillo.com
