First bottled in 1968, Valdicava is owned by Vincenzo Abbruzzese. The winery is located in the famous Montosoli region of Montalcino. Not only does Valdicava produce some of the greatest examples of Brunello, but it is also considered to be one of the premier wineries in all of Italy. Abbruzzese’s maniacal attention to detail ensures only the finest quality of fruit is used to make these epic wines. Valdicava sets the standard by which other wineries in this famous region are measured—no small accomplishment. ($115)
